WORCESTER, Mass., March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Constant improvements in LED technology have enabled Access Fixtures, a leader in commercial and sports lighting, to produce a twin tennis court lighting system with much higher light output than previous LED tennis courts. The newest LED twin tennis court lighting package provides light levels of more than 25 foot-candles across the full playing area of both courts while achieving extremely even light levels, a max/min ratio of only 2.89. Access Fixtures park level LED twin tennis court lighting system is now rated LM70 for 100,000 hours, greatly reducing maintenance and energy use. The new recreational level LED twin tennis court system retails under $26,000.
"Lighting two courts evenly with LED light sources has been difficult and expensive," said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. He continued, "Now, advances in LED technology have allowed us to produce a lighting package suitable for public tennis courts at a reasonable cost. LED technology is energy efficient, requires less maintenance and has a longer life, making it a great choice when lighting public tennis courts."
Access Fixtures' newest park level performance LED twin tennis court lights produce an average of 25.39 foot-candles over the entire court area, providing even, high CRI, white light for tennis matches. Each LED luminaire produces over 53,000 lumens while using only 378 watts for an incredible 140 lumens per watt. Mean luminaire lumens exceed that of 1000w Metal Halide while using only 4536 watts which is 62% less energy than Metal Halide. The LED luminaires are rated for LM70 at 100,000 hours and have a 5-year warranty. LED tennis court lighting systems include 25' poles, mounting hardware and high performance LED luminaires.
